Attendance

Regular school attendance is critical to academic success for children.  Arriving at school on time and ready to learn teaches a strong work ethic, as well as builds responsibility. However, children should be kept home when they are ill.  Ample time will be provided for them to make up any work that is missed.

For your convenience we have a 24-hour absentee line. If your child is going to be absent from school please call (949) 234-5953 and state your name, your child's name, their grade level, and the reason for the absence. If you are unable to call, please have your child bring a note the first day he/she returns to school. All absences must be cleared with the attendance clerk within 72 hours of the date of the absence. If a child is tardy, he/she must check in through the Front Office before being admitted to class. Frequent tardies without a valid excuse is considered truancy under the law. Students with continued tardies and/or unexcused absences will be referred to the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) for disciplinary action.
