LADERA RANCH ELEMENTARY

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the principal of Ladera Ranch Elementary School. Having previously worked at LRES, this school community has always held a special place in my heart. Returning to Ladera Ranch Elementary truly feels like coming home, and I am honored to have the opportunity to once again serve the students, staff, and families of this exceptional school.

 

This year marks my twenty-fifth year in education. During the past four years, I had the privilege of serving as principal of Canyon Vista Elementary School, where I strengthened my commitment to ensuring high levels of learning for every student, supporting outstanding teachers, and fostering a positive school culture where every child feels valued and connected. Prior to that, I spent thirteen years as classroom teacher and eight years as an assistant principal, all within the Capistrano Unified School District.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa and my Master of Arts in Educational Administration from National University in Costa Mesa. My wife and I are also proud parents of three wonderful children, ages 17, 14, and 10, who all attend schools in Capistrano Unified. When we're not busy with flag football, lacrosse, tennis, or pickleball, you'll often find us enjoying time together at the beach.

 

Ladera Ranch Elementary has a long-standing tradition of excellence, and I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and supportive families to build upon the outstanding foundation already in place. Strong schools are built on strong relationships, and I believe that open communication, collaboration, and a shared commitment to student safety and academic success are essential to helping every child reach their full potential.

 

I am excited to begin this new chapter with you and look forward to getting to know each of you throughout the school year. Together, we will continue to make Ladera Ranch Elementary a place where students are challenged, supported, and inspired every day.
